Hats off to the Leicestershire TR Group skittles and nosh evening

The LTRG ended the year with a skittles competition at their December meeting along with some good basic nosh all washed down with good beer. Tony had organised the evening with the landlord of the Rose and Crown at Thurnby and asked everybody to wear a Christmas hat as a pre-Christmas celebration. The hats were weird and wonderful and worn with style by all, even those that had "forgotten" them as spares were available.

The 34 attendees were split into two teams for the skittles and the competition was close all evening with some excellent throwing from top scoring couple Dave and Dawn along with some pathetic efforts from Mick with the only zero of the evening. The left hand team headed up by Andy and Jennie were the eventual winners with 138 points compared to 129.

Then the food was served and the scandal of Faggotgate kicked off. Reg had ordered faggots, the kitchen cooked them BUT somebody eat them before Reg could get a look in. Who was this devient? We will never know as the faggott nicker was not identified, so Reg had to put up with sausages. He did not let anybody else have any lemon tart until he had his!

A wonderful evening was had by all, thanks to the excellent company and plenty of Christmas cheer.
