Kennet Valley & Vale of White Horse Groups 'RAID' MG Summer Picnic

Kennet Valley Group members joined Vale of the White Horse Group at the inaugural MG Summer Picnic, organised by the MGB Register at Millets Farm Centre, Frilford Oxfordshire, where they had been allocated a grassy area to park and enjoy the forthcoming picnic.

KVG arrived at Millets Farm around 10am and found the MG display area at the far end of the parking area, where there was already an event tent up, and some possibly 30 cars already in attendance. There were 8 KVG TRs and 6 VoWH TRs plus 1 Daimler on display amongst the various MG models and a few other marques.

The weather was good, sun and cloud, and all had brought a picnic for consumption later in the day. There were quite a few 'visitors' to the garden centre looking around, there was car-related and general discussion and good natured banter going on all day.

The weather continued to be very sunny but a breeze kept us all cool lucky during this rainy August. There were all the venue's attractions to be enjoyed, including a cafe and garden centre.... several people were seen manoeuvring large or delicate plants into their cars, some with the roof up and others down but we don't think anyone failed at this challenge.

We were thanked for going along and have been invited to return next year on 5th August 2018 for the 2nd MG Summer Picnic.
