GL Derek Hurford says: “There was little to report in January on the basis that the only organised event being attended is now arranged by Lesley Swain from the Glavon group. Which at the time of writing this report has not occurred yet, but I'm sure it has been as successful as always.

One thing I sadly missed was the MCC Exeter trial, where they had nine TRs entered, some of which are TR Register member's entries, one being driven by our own Chairman Phil Tucker and navigated by our Press officer Wayne Scott. All doing things and going places that most people wouldn't consider doing in a 4x4 vehicle, never mind driving a TR for close on 24 hours through woods, up muddy and stone laden tracks, with a large part in the dark.

A Devon Group member Dennis Hobbs until recently was a local committee member and maintained our web pages. He sadly had what was considered a minor stoke which he appeared to be getting over, but did have a little set back at the end of last year. I am glad to report he is again on the mend, and I am sure you will all wish to join me in wishing Den, (who has always been prepared to help members, whether rebuilding a gearbox, overdrive unit, sorting injection problems or just passing on information while chatting), all our very best and a speedy recovery.
