[Anyone had their front bumper bar plated recently? or a set of stanchions and screen frame. If so
would appreciate some guidance on prices. Been quoted about £160 for a front bumper blade and £60 ea for each stanchion.

Am I better to just buy stainless bits?

Regards

You are lucky, I was quoted £350 for a front bumper blade so I shall definitely be buying stainless.

It also depends on whether or not you are having the item triple plated.

I was also quoted £100 for a handbrake lever and a gear lever as a pair.

I asked pretty much the same question 2 days ago on the TR4 forum. Much pricier quote for mine though. I got a quote from Derby Plating but they come recommended and are regarded as very high quality. There seem to be advantages in both chrome and stainless. I guess if you want authenticity and easy shineyou go chrome , trouble free and longevity then stainless may be the best option.

Cheers
