  5. Thanks guys, as usual Stewart is on the money, involved with a gearbox swop, on this 1963 TR4 non-overdrive to an overdrive box, and when we got stuck in, transpires car has been running a 3 synchro box since recent purchase! Hence the question. cheers John.
  6. Thanks John, Mick and all. Been distracted by doing a gearbox swop on a fellow group members car, should have been a simple non -overdrive to overdrive swop, but it ain't been! John.
  7. Just a quick question folks. I know early TR4's had some carry overs from late Tr3A's, front suspension, seats etc., but did any come from the factory with three synchro gearboxes? Cheers John.
  8. Hi Shaun, yes welcome to our forum, and congratulations on restoring your families Tr2. I have changed the title of your post, to hopefully better solicit replies from those who can help. Hope this is OK/ regards John.

  10. John:  Enough with the teasing.  I'm having difficulty finding the photo and "the rest" from page 39 of the April/May 23 issue of TRAction.  How about a link, or at least a hint as to which topic this is hiding under?

  11. John would it be possible to send me a copy of your gearbox crane rig? I've just tried to PM you with my E mail address but I cannot send you messages??

    Many thanks Adrian

  12. Hi John

i found these people https://www.fastkeys.co.uk/car-keys brilliant when I snapped a key in half and I could not find anyone else who could replace it.

Believe it or not they were able to cut a new one for me from a photograph, amazing service

    Hope this is useful

    Chris
