Hood frame ruber "bumper"

Recommended Posts

Just noticed that my 1971 tr6 hood frame is missing on both sides some kind of ruber bumper as can be seen on Moss catalogue part 65, I guess is function is to set the frames when the hood is folded.

Is it wright or I missing something ?

Any clues, measures for making my self one?

Thank you

Excuse my ignorance but what does this piece do? I’ll have to check I have one.

When the hood frame is folded the rubber is to stop it chafing on the wheelarch covering.

Hello,

If the screw in the picture is no longer available as a TR part, take a look at a "Chicago book screw". I think that is the generic name for it.

You can find them on eBay and other places.

Charlie.
