Tim T
Can anybody please recommend an adhesive to re-glue the metal support on a lower crash pad to the old original foam as in the attached photos. I have not had much success with contact adhesive! Many thanks, Tim
RogerH
Hi Tim, contact adhesive will melt the foam and so the metal has nothing to stick to. Have you tried a bulky adhesive like 'No=Nails' Or a RTV silicon type jointing compound. Roger
Tim T
Doing a test with Gripfill at the moment. The contact adhesive just appeared to be absorbed by the foam - I was expecting it to melt or shrink away as you say. What is RTV? Thanks, Tim

Waldi
Hi Tim, I used clear silicone for this, worked very good. Keep compressed during curing. Regards, Waldi
Tim T
Will see how the Gripfill has held in the morning and then try silicone if it has not worked. Many thanks for suggestions. Tim
Tim T
Gripfill/No-nails seems to have worked perfectly. Many thanks for advice. Tim
