Alec Pringle
Yes I realise this isn't a technical topic . . . . I've copied it across from 'Members' Chat' such that Jean's many friends who are not Register members can also, hopefully, lend a little support to Jean's cause in his hour of need. Many Forumites will be familiar with Jean Roulleaux, our famous Belgian who invariably joins us at the International Weekend, and often enough at other TR events in the UK and in Europe. Jean's deteriorating health has been a matter of concern over the past couple of years, and it's now reached a crisis stage. In a nutshell, the recent surgery that should have been the lifesaver has turned out to be a disaster - the surgical team evidently got it wrong in a very big way. Net consequence is that Jean is in a nightmare situation, cancer spreading, in constant pain, and his life on hold. The last resort is massive radiotherapy and immunotherapy, very high risk and hugely expensive for his insurers . . . . and whether they will even consider funding it is an open question . . . . Far, far worse than my own situation over the past couple of years. And right now, Jean's need is greater than mine. This Forum has been a lifesaving support to me personally, just as it was in the past to Badfrog, Jean-Francois Savouret. When a medical team can see that their patient is being cheered on from around the world, it adds something to their efforts, and it's your input that helps keep them fighting . . . . even when it's down to the very last slim chance. If you can spare a moment, please add an encouraging post to this thread, or even send a PM of encouragement to Jean - link - http://www.tr-regist.../user/754-jean/ Every little helps, the poor bar steward is going through hell right now, he and his oncologists need all the encouragement, moral support, prayers and whatever else that we can muster for one of our own. Thanks TR chaps and chapesses. Cheers Alec

boxofbits
Hi Jean Take strength from Alec's experience, and with it the inspiration and 'lifesaving' support he found on this forum. As in Alec's case each new day that you create, you will not see a black flag but a chequered one. Keep up the good fight! Kevin
Motorsport Mickey
Jean, Your will and the encouragement from us all are formidable weapons to employ If you can force your heart and nerve and sinew To serve your turn long after they are gone, And so hold on when there is nothing in you Except the Will which says to them: "Hold on!" We know that you address your difficulties and we trust that your efforts will prevail, tomorrow and tomorrow and tomorrow. Mick Richards
