modelbuilder
I never seem to have any success using keywords to search for information on the forum website so, at the risk of appearing repetitive, Ill try a straightforward question. A friend of mine who is 2/3 of the way through a TR5 restoration has asked me the best place to obtain an original quality TR5 dashboard. He has his original dashboard which has a roached veneer. Any advice regarding a restorer of his original or replacement would be much appreciated. Rodders.
Tom Boyd
Give Chapman and cliff a call. Based in Cheshire. Not cheap but the quality is awesome!!! Tom
Grahamgl
Tom, They did my dashboard, it had to go back. They had managed to turn the circular holes for the ignition and indicator lights into ellipses. Matter was resolved satisfactorily. Graham
stuart
These guys have refurbished dashboards for me (one with significant water damage and fading) with specific instructions that it must look original and they matched a wood steering wheel to it as well. Again not cheap but the best I have come across in many years. http://www.silvercrest-woodtrim.co.uk/ Last time I used Chapman and Cliff I was a bit disappointed but that was about 10yrs ago for a Jaguar wood set. Bill Bourne
Hi Rodders just another alternative. I've used this company twice. Excellent. They make everything in-house. Last year I paid approx £400 for a new dashboard and door cappings in Elm for a TR5. http://classical-dash.co.uk/product-showcase/triumph/ best Bill

I’ve now received a couple of recommendations for “Classical Dash” and think that this is where we’re going. Rodders.
