fezzsarecool Posted January 8, 2018 Report Share Posted January 8, 2018 think we have all been caught on ebay , of all the hundreds of good purchases ive made I had 2 that I will tell you, both these were things I brought last year, 1...new water pump. tr2/4 .. left in box placed on shelf just took a glance at it. only when I got it out recently to check parts for head rebuild did I notice the vanes were ground down due to the vanes not sitting close to the body .. result in the bin... 2 .. set of new old stock valve springs ... again placed on shelf only recently got them out , only to find the packaging had a slit near the card top emptied the bag to find one part of springs missing... but to make things worse when placed on the bench all the springs varied in height, only thing I can assume were fitted but never run ,hence the compression resulting in the height loss... as I say out of hundreds of purchases...the only 2 but from now on with check with a tooth comb .. any not correct will be returned ..
