knock from o/s/r area when braking in reverse

Recommended Posts

Hi Folks,

I have just had my uprated vasey hubs and drive shafts fitted, and now when mostly reversing i have a knock coming from the o/s/r area which only occurs when the brake pedal is applied but it does not happen every time it does it every now and again at low speed and when driving forward as well, my diff mounts have been done and new shocks fitted, have checked everything and cannot find anything loose, as i say the knock as only just started after fitting the new hubs and drive shafts..

yes i have, do you think it could be brake related.

Michael, From that single clonk when the brakes are applied..yes. Check the cylider can slide in the backplate several mm when you tug on it ( handbrake off), or slides when the handbrake is applied. They seize easily. The brakes will have been slackened off to do the hub swap. Peter
