qim
Temperature in the shade: 36º C. I took the car on a 500km drive to Beja in the very hot Alentejo, with the hood down. It behaved well, but in the afternoon it started to get a bit hot with the needle right in the middle. I have just checked the radiator and it did not lose any water, Consumption around 10/100, maybe less = 28 mpg or more. Only negative point: I am as red as a lobster! Could not have come this far without your help. Thank you Edited September 3, 2017 by qim
EdwinTiben
Right in the middle on your gauge would be 185 Fahrenheit which is 85 Celsius, which is a good temp. If you keep it that way even in hot weather, cooling is fine.

qim
No Camilo ~ What a shame I can't come over to Lisboa !!!! Cheers ~ Tom. Why not? You'd be very welcome. In any case, I am driving my daughter back to Oxford, leaving tomorrow via Andorra. And no! not in the TR! I arrive on the 10th and fly out on the 14th, not enough time for a drink or two in sunny Wales. Regards Camilo

qim
Hi Tom I arrived in Oxford late on Saturday (by then, Sunday morning after a terrible traffic jam on the M25 when they decided to close a section other than for ONE lane!) and will be leaving on the 14th. But what month is this Sunday 12th? Did you mean 10th? I only just now saw your message and I was so shattered after the long drive through France and arrival in the wee hours of Sunday that I would not be able to move out of bed before well after lunch-time! I would certainly like to see a local Oxford TR3. Let me know where you are. Camilo Edited September 11, 2017 by qim
