tim hunt
A road test of the same car was featured in the Motor of w/e 4th May 1968. it was also used on a tour of Spain described in an article by Eoin Young in the Autocar of 8th August of the same year. Strangely Triumph provided this press car without overdrive, I would be surprised if a subsequent owner has not fitted this for a greatly enhanced driving experience. Wayne Scott
Interesting as LHP289F is for sale as the first production TR5 , CP2. So presumably that car pre-dates that? https://sherwoodrestorations.co.uk/vehicle/1967-triumph-tr5-cp2-first-production-tr5/

cp25616
LHP 288F was pre-production built, "off-tools" as the old saying went. CP2 was first down the actual production line. CP1 (LHP 288F) still exists but as to just where it is a veil of silence reigns at present....why, thats another story!
