Hamish
LSD and thicker front anti roll bar. Regards John Ok folksWhich Limited Slip Differential fits the TR3a ? To stop the spinning rear wheel when it unloads through a corner. I understand that the Quaife doesn't work properly in this scenario. Is there one out of another car that fits ? (Like the Nissan L200 is converted for the tr6 ?!?) Needless to say I'm only thinking of this on the cheap. Thanks for your words of wisdom

BlueTR3A-5EKT
If you have a Girling axle consider the Quaif unit https://shop.quaife.co.uk/differentials?model=483 Peter W
Hamish
I'm open to correction and teaching. But my research suggests that the Quaife may not fully lock with a wheel going light on a bend and loosing drive. This is my issue on hill climbs and sprints. Perhaps it's a driving style thing ? What's the pro's and con's between the 2 types Are they complicated to fit and set up. H
mjdearing
Hi Hamish I put a question out a few weeks ago about finding an unknown (to me) diff when I removed the cover from an axle I was selling to a fellow forum chap, after much googling etc it turned out to be a Detroit locker from the states'i had never heard of them but after reading much reading found that these were the choice of guys racing TRs in the sixties and I think this diff does what your talking about ie loading unloading with plenty of mechanical noise as it makes grip to the wheel requiring it, they do talk about its characteristics which could be unnerving at time and dam right lethal in the wet.Have a google and you will find reference to Nissan,Toyota and Honda diffs being used. Ps the diff is for sale in a tr4 axle, pm me if you want any info. Martin

Hamish
Tran-x is an interesting option that I have seen out there. It's a plate type I believe. Also now part of quaife range. Perhaps I need to do a few more events to learn the car. After all I am of a generation where most of my daily drivers have been front wheel drive or motorbikes.
