TR3A differential nose seal

Recommended Posts

...and a split pin

...and a torque wrench with suitable sized socket (is it 1. 1/8" or 1. 1/4" AF?)

...Suitable oil to top-up/re-fill after repair

Plus someone with their foot on the brakes to stop it all rotating as you have a go at the big nut. They are often loose (ish) , but should be torqued up as required.

Torque 85 - 100 Foot Lbs - to align split pin hole. (Is that 115 to 135 Nm ?) http://www.convertunits.com/from/ft+lb/to/N+m

If the seal area of the flange is grooved, speedi-sleeve is your friend. ( sorry I do not know size off hand.

Search and you shall find....

Catalogue of sizes. http://www.barnwell.co.uk/content/uploads/2015/04/Barnwell-Shaft-Repair-Kits.pdf

As done by a forum user with Speedi Sleeve 99149 --- Reverse search of catalogue reveals the 99149 is for a 1.5" diameter shaft/seal area.
