andrewsjwg
I hear that on competition TRs, the ignition coil is moved away from the engine to reduce heat and vibration. The coil is mounted on the inner wing. We had problems on our TR which we think are vapor locking issues but we noted the coil was red hot when the engine stoped. Has anyone found moving the coil off the engine has improved things?
TR NIALL
I'd suspect the Coil or other Electrical issues causing the Coil to overheat, yes moving it may improve things slightly but I'd be looking for the underlying problem.
