Alec Pringle
A pal of mine owns a motorcycle which happens to still bear its original registration number - ATR 44B . . . . Nothing particularly historic or interesting about this number on an Enfield, other than its originality. But it might be rather appropriate for a TR4 of 1964 vintage ? If anyone is interested in acquiring such a number for a TR4, by all means drop me a PM - my pal is considering offering it for sale in due course. Cheers Alec
Guest ntc
Hi Alec Think you will find it is not transferable

Guest ntc
And what makes you think that, Neil ? I tried it from a tractor I could only do it to a JCB bikes not sure of but I think your pal could have the same problem
Alec Pringle
Number plates are only transferable from vehicle categories which normally require an MoT or HGV equivalent. That excludes tractors for one example, milk floats for another, and most JCBs. Historic categories pre-1960 require an MoT to transfer number, even thought they don't otherwise need one. No problem transferring car to bike or vice versa. Cheers Alec Edited May 25, 2017 by Alec Pringle
