We still have the original hood stick cover on UOV and whilst perhaps not quite in concours condition it does the job, well almost, when fitted the bottom edge tends to flap about in the breeze. On examination I see that there are 2 lift the dot fasteners on the inside that have been fitted the reverse way round to those fitted across the back, but clearly in the last 60 years the reciprocal posts have gone walkabout and I can't find any holes where they should have gone. Does anybody have a photo of the location of these posts they could share. I was going to use the cover to estimate where the posts should go but before I do that and put them in the wrong place thought i would ask.

From TS66XXXL, unrestored original TR3A. Photos of your original cover would be most interesting, especially the position of the fasteners.

Don many thanks I'm guessing the reason I couldn't find a hole in the trim is the PO has put a self tapper in it ! after a trial fit I think the rearmost screw in the second photo should actually be a post. Picture of the cover as requested

That is the position the pegs on my 1958 car are Don.

Yes, I think that self-tapping screw is where a L-T-D peg for the hood stick cover would go, Graham Thanks for the pix of your unmolested original -- most useful for my reference files, as the original was long lost from my car before I got it and it's good to see how the fasteners were oriented.

PS: You can click on the photo in post 3 above to make it a lot bigger, in case you hadn't noticed.
