Menno van Rij
About 20 yrs ago, Triumph World (I think) published an article about a black TR3. The car was restored by Van Der Grinten. A Dutch company. (The owner Fiete has sold his company and has changed his attention to high end sound systems). The Triple Black TR stood on Minilites and the inner RH wing was modified for the Webers and a cold air box. Finally: I remember that the TR had a Belgian plate.Rings a bell? Any pics out there?Menno

Dave Larnder
Jean & Menno Why all the secrecy? If it is a special TR3, why cant we all benefit from the picture? Dave
Don H.
It was a pretty normal car, Dave, but with a highly legible number plate. I wouldn't worry about what you missed.
Dave Larnder
Don They could always blank out the number plate if it is that sensitive: Thinking about it, Black Beta showed it´s number plate. Dave
TwinCamJohn
What is all this thing about blanking out numberplates ?
Don H.
There are lots of people over here who, for whatever reason, prefer not to show personally-identifiable information on the 'net. It came up here as pure speculation about why someone would not want to show a photo. There could be multiple other reasons as well.
