Looking for a PI fast-idle (choke) cam and cable bracket

Recommended Posts

When I bought my TR6 PI, the car had a single choke cable and it would not idle properly when cold.

Apparently the PO of my TR6 PI decided that the fast idle mechanism was not required and removed all of it.

I have bought the proper double cable, shoulder screw, washers, and cable end but the cam and the cable bracket are missing so ATM the fast idle cable is tucked away in a corner of the engine bay and my home solution is to wedge-in a rubber door stop above the throttle screw when warming up the car.

I have looked everywhere for the cam and cable bracket and I can't find either of these parts.

Does anyone have either of them that I can buy?

Or alternatively if anyone can give me some rough dimensions , I can try fabricating them.

Many thanks

Fernando

Yes, Mark. Two of them: the pear shaped cam, spring, spacer and bracket assembly on the bottom left and the cable bracket on the top right (the one with the cable holder screw). The other 2 are for the throttle cable, and I have those.
