Thanks

Pity Mira is no cameras for my first event !

Not mad keen on Facebook but looks like I may have to join if there is more competition news and banter there than on the club competition web site forum

Hi

Big thank you to the event organisers and marshals etc.

Both car and I survived my first Revington/TR Register event. (Mira)

Great to meet some fellow competitor TR'ers all very welcoming and helpful. Proper old school comradery.

Personal times versus the "bogey" had much debate and how this affected champ scoring.

It's amazing what some of these TRs are capable of ( in the right hands????) and the upgrades and set ups that are possible.

We had 2, 3, 4, 7 (v8) and vitesses triumphs in our group.

It was grey cold and at times drizzly damp day.

My 3a had an early start and 1.5 hour drive there and back and it never missed a beat.

I have discovered the slower one is the more cost effective sprinting it. Whilst not being Scottish. With a name like mine value for money it important. And I got value for money. I possibly got the most track time out of all of us ????????.

It's a big learning curve and with only 4 runs even the limited set up and driving method options open to us TR'ers really means improvement is hit and miss.

I toyed with O/D use and then tyre pressures to try and get better times.

I think that the main factor that needs addressing ( sorry if I get all racing/sprinting technical here) is to try and sort out the nut behind the wheel !!!

I console myself by reminding myself that the car is new to me as is O/D as is sprinting.

It's all great fun. Thank you for all the kind words and moral support in the paddock especially now they know I'm not a threat in the championship ????

Roll on curborough

Great to meet you yesterday Hamish.

You did great. Your time was close to the bogey time and earned you a lot of respect (and some points in the championship) from the other competitors, especially as your car looks so standard.

Well done. See you at Curborough. I got a late entry this morning.

John. You had an amazing day. Sideways rally style to set up for the corner really worked.

Well done on getting into curborough mr Barnard will be worrying now !!!????????
