boggie
Hi all, I am in the midst of scraping off the old underseal from the underside, inch by inch, then degreasing with brake cleaner and finally wire brushing with hand and power tools. 10 hours work and I have not even completed one side; this looks like at least 4 days of work... Forgive me; I know this has been discussed in the past as I have been searching the forum but there is conflicting advice and as the discussions span a number of years so technology and opinion may have moved on... What is the best solution to protect the underside? I was thinking Dinitrol to prime then coat the lot with Schutz underseal. Does this sound a good choice? Also what is the best way to treat inside the chassis please? Thanks, Ian
RogerH
Hi Ian, this was discussed a short while ago for a TR6 http://www.tr-register.co.uk/forums/index.php?/topic/60925-recommended-sequence-to-paint-a-tub/ Roger
barkerwilliams
Ian, Is four days prolonged exposure to brake cleaner good for you? A quick squirt to the brakes possibly but I think it might be time to read the label. Alan

stuart
Never use underseal/Shutz as you will live to regret it. Stuart.
