BlueTR3A-5EKT
BYO bump steer if you get it wrong. The inner ball joint of the rack must be centred on a scribed line between the upper and lower suspension inner fulcrums - or it steers the car as the suspension goes up and down. Have a read of Frank Costin's book on race car chassis, suspension & steering design. (The other half of MarCos) Once I drove a Marina pickup with a MGBGT V8 power unit fitted. The steering rack had been simply relocated so the engine/gearbox would fit. Great accelerating but frightening on bumps. Revington has worked hard and got this issue sorted with their conversion kits. Peter W PS the Lotus Elite steering rack is an Herald item with about 2" reduction of the inner rack bar length to get the inner ball joints in the correct place. - Simple Lotus cut and weld I suspect.
