Rob Briggs
For many years I've used a Lucas Dim/Dip module in the lighting circuit on my TR6. It now appears to have died and I'm having problems finding a replacement. The original unit was labelled 14DA and now appears to be unobtainable. I have found a Lucas unit that looks exactly the same which has the part number SCB301. Unfortunately it has 6 terminals instead of the original 5 and there is no documentation to help with wiring it up. Can anyone help finding one of the original 14DA modules or a copy of the installation guide for the SCB301 please? Whilst searching the web I came across another Lucas part which is described as a Dim/Dip relay. It looks like an ordinary relay but with more contacts. It's marked 13DA with the part number YWC10050 and is a fetching shade of pink. Has anyone come across or used one of these? I can't quite see how it could perform the Dim/Dip function since the original had substantial heat sink built into it. Even if it does work, there is no connection guidance included according to a supplier. If you've used one and have the connection details, that would be very useful. Paul Down
Can you dismantle the original faulty unit There is not likely to be much inside and could well be repaired. Quite a few electrical/electronics experts on here!
