alstriumph911
Hi All 3 months ago car would not start, had no ignition light. Traced it back to loose battery connection. Today having the same problem although initially it turned over for 10 seconds then when turning key to off and back again it went dead. Have removed and checked battery leads and coil connections and because of a circuit breaker in the earth battery lead, run a separate lead to earth but still no ignition light . Battery is newish and is kept on trickle charge and shows fully charged. Any ideas where to look or test next. Alan
RogerH
Hi Alan, have you got a decent wiring diagram. If not have a look here http://www.advanceautowire.com/tr24a.pdf Have you taken Voltage reading at the coil etc with the ig switch ON. Are you using a dynamo or an alternator? And you do have fuel !! alstriumph911
Checked over things this morning and found the cable from battery to solenoid was not taking current. Replaced with old one I had and away it went . Strange!! Alan
