TRTOM2498PI Posted February 4, 2017 Report Share Posted February 4, 2017 Hi All, I have for sale a genuine badged, SAH gas flowed cylinder head. To suite all Triumph 4 cylinder engines, as fitted to TR2-3-4-4A, and also Morgan engines. The complete engine was removed from a scrapped TR3A, in the very early 70’s, and latterly the head was removed from the engine, which was subsequently sold. The head is in good order, with no obvious cracking, or heavy signs of deterioration. Prior to putting the head up for sale, I asked my local machine shop, to clean the gasket face, which required 0.010” of material to be removed. In the past, it has only ever received a light skim, leaving the new owner plenty of scope for additional machining (if required). Squish area on number one cylinder, has a small dent. The dent is 0.020" deep, so will not affect operation once installed. It was inspected by a specialist in 1996. who has advised that would have no detriment. The same feedback received from the local machine shop, established in 1938, who does a lot of TR machine work over the years, amongst other cars.
