Welcome to TR ownership, & the forum.

Is the front apron steel of fglass ? I ask because My TR3 had the combination of steel front, & fglass wings back in the 1970's, & I found the front rather too heavy for the wings to support properly. That problem was eventually solved when the front was replaced with Fglass following an "incident" involving another car, & a wet slippery road !

Bob.

P.S. All steel now !

Good luck. There are a number of reliable people who can repair parts. i.e. distributor, petrol pumps, regulator, dynamo, carbs etc. I am sure the local group will have lots of experienced owners who will help.

I have many years of parts giving up and there are only a small number of specialists, and suppliers, that I will use again. If you need any help I could send you a pm but I am sure that TR bitz know more than I do.

PS. If you have a hydraulic problem with the clutch or brakes send your cylinders away to Past Parts for relining. The new ones are poor quality. I expect that this has all been resolved before you bought the car.

It is a great club and you will have loads of fun with the hood down. Lots of other road users will give you a wave and on the way to Classic Le Mans the French villagers will turn out all along the route to give you a cheer.

Good luck , Richard & H.

Nice, very nice. Enjoy it! One suggestion: when repairing, always try to reuse parts. Aftermarket parts are often poorly made 'sort of' items that need tons of adjustment before they fit.

I am currently helping a friend with his TR250. The new wing is nothing more than a disgrace, fitment-wise

Welcome to sidescreen ownership, Mts1969.

+1 on Menno's comments about the original bits. Don't be in a hurry to replace them, and for sure don't be in a hurry to discard them!
