Eddie Mace
Hi has any body experience of 16 inch wheels on a TR6 at present I am running 205/60/15 om my hill climb car and having problems finding road legal track day tyres. I could go for 205/55/16 these would only be 2mm greater in OD Any ideas?
TRTOM2498PI
Hi Eddie, Have you looked into the Dunlop Direzza tyre, which I believe are road legal, with similar tread pattern to the Yokohama A048R. Sadly, they only do these in: 215/50/15 - Not sure if these help ? 16" has been done, but don't think you need to go to that extent. Cheers.
Tom Boyd
Have you looked at Avon CR6 ZZ's? 175 or 185 x 15 Cracking tyre
rcmcewen
Hi Eddie There are plenty of TR6s competing in Class 2 on 15inch rims so it shouldn't be difficult finding a decent tyre. Certainly agree with Tom (above). Why not post a question on our Facebook page - I am sure you will get plenty of advice. I personally use Vredestein Sprint Classic, they are the control tyre for the Jaguar XK race series so must be pretty good.
