Andy Moltu Posted August 27, 2016 Report Share Posted August 27, 2016 Running a fine file on the leading edge of the splines of the clutch plate can help by just taking out any tiny burrs which can make a bigger difference than I would have thought. May explain why putting a used plate back in always seems to align easier - not that re using the plate is a good idea but occasionally I've taken out gearboxes and checked a newish clutch and put it back.
