swood1
Hi all, I have always had play in my clutch pedal. On closer inspection of the master cylinder I can now see why. There is a large amount of play in the linkage on the end of the master cylinder piston that links with the foot pedal. Can anyone confirm how easy it is to remove the piston from the master cylinder for replacement? Or would the best solution be to rebush the linkage end of the piston to remove the play? harrytr5
Steve, Remove the rubber dust cover and you will find a circlip. Remove the circlip and the fork/linkage will come away.Replacement is the same way in reverse. Revington TR have an adjustable linkage. You will probably find the clutch pedal hole elongated at this point. Either weld up (off the car) then redrill 5/16"or, drill 3/8" on both items and fit the bigger pin. At this point you might want to refurb the pedal box which means removing it and doing it on the bench. Regards Harry
