RogerH
Hi Adey, I had CamCoat do my Phoenix manifold in about 2007. It looked superb when new and still looks good today after 75,000miles. Go for the TRiple coating (one coat inside and two outside) Not sure about the heat reduction but can't be any worse than the Zircotec product and far better than old TRactor tape. Roger PS - what I did notice immediately after fitting, the exhaust tail pipe temp was much much higher - suggesting the heat was going out the back Edited August 11, 2015 by RogerH
Ade-TR4
Looks great Roger, I too, don't want to wrap the manifold, not only for aesthetics, but safety. Suspect that if they got soaked in fuel they could be quite a danger. Have you found that the heat reduction is enough to protect your alternator (if you use one)? BTW, it was good to see that your hat is real, not just a digital add-on Ade
4Mal
Hi Adey, I thought about this, but haven't yet. I'm told that the heat does move back and someone did have a heat shield made for under the cockpit, as that was getting very hot. Whatever happens, it is much better than wrap, from both safety and looks.
Ade-TR4
They're based near Chester, so not too far to pop over and have a looksee. My existing manifold is wrapped, but is starting to show it's age. The heat definitely moves back. Handbrake gets toasty warm cheers - I'll let you know how it goes Mal! RogerH
Hi Adey, if you fit any aftermarket manifold then you will need a heatshield. When I went up to see them (I was stopping in Preston at the time) they were in Warrington or somewhere beginning with W. Roger
mikeyb
can't be any worse than the Zircotec do I read correctly that you don't think much of the zircotec?
RogerH
Hi Mike, everybody goes overboard with Zircotec and there is no comparable product (a bit like us Saab owners). However Camcoat works very well. It is applied in a different way but the effect is the same. I have not read any data for either product to suggest one is better than the other. Can Zircotec be applied inside the manifold. I'm happy with Cam coat, others are happy with Zircotec and that's the way it should be. Roger
Tom Boyd
I use Camcoat on everything from a road car to a full blown race/rally car..... Very good product ???? Tom

TR4A1965
Hi Ade. I used the guys in Warrington and used Ceramakrome on a Pheonix manifold. I did the Exhaust manifold too at the same time. Couple of videos on my home page that show the results and a video of the process. http://tr4a.weebly.com Best. Paul.
TR4A1965
Hi Ade, Part 12 on my video feed shows the Pheonix manifold and Exhaust Manifold pretty well after being treated with Ceramakrome. It costs about £235 per manifold plus postage. Contact details and process below if you don't have them. http://tr4a.weebly.com/video-diary---tr4a.html Best. Paul http://www.camcoat.com Camcoat Performance Coatings 129 Hoyle Street Bewsey Industrial Estate Warrington Cheshire WA5 0LP Tel: 01925 445003Email: Info@Camcoat.com Camcoat's "Cermakrome" cermet exhaust coating has the highest level of chrome-like finish available. Rated to 760˚C it is recommended for exhaust manifolds that are highly visible such as side exhausts, top end kit cars and motorcycles/scooters. This is a remarkable coating, developed from the NASA space programme, that is water based and cures at 260˚C to a green/white smooth powder finish. At Camcoat these manifolds are then put into a large vibratory trough machine filled with specially treated ceramic balls and a lubricant polishing soap for a period of time after which they come out looking almost like chrome. Highly polished ally would be a more exact description but, unlike stainless steel and chrome plating which both discolour with the heat of the exhaust gas after a matter of moments the "Cermakromed" exhaust will keep its polish for many years. In the event of tarnishing or even mild scratching the finish can be restored using very fine grade 0000 steel wool and chrome metal polish such as Autosol. The "Cermakrome" finish is very resistant to all usual vehicle contaminants and has passed the 4000 salt spray test which confirms excellent corrosion resistance even in coastal areas. Tr4Tony
Adey If this stuff is anywhere near as good as the zircotec coating I'd recommend it. Makes a huge difference to under bonnet temp, but the gas out the back of the pipe is significantly hotter, blues the rear valance and the rear box does heat up when you run at high speed / revs. On BST82B I can set things in the boot alight when the exhaust guards are fitted ..
