MadMarx
TR Shop London is now an address to buy MadMarx crankshaft split seal. Seems they have adopt it now. That means the Viton seal solution is now better available in the UK.

peejay4A
It will go on my next engine rebuild for sure.
Fireman049
I fitted this excellent conversion to my 3A. If anyone would like photo's of the installation then please PM me your eMail address. The beauty of Mad Marx's conversion is that you have two oil seals for your crankshaft ~ the original scroll seal and the split seal. Tom.
stuart
I was the one who suggested they keep them in stock as I like them too. Stuart.
Chris Hubball
Gentlemen I am planning an engine strip down this winter to cure an incontinent rear crank seal so am interested in this conversion, has their been any articles in TR Action or posts on the Forum describing it and how it works and is it possible to fit it with the engine in situ thus avoiding a complete strip down ? Cheers Chris
MadMarx
Hi Chris, maybe this is a help: http://www.tr4-racing.de/download/splitseal.pdf The only difference to the manual nowadays is, that the housing is now new and doesn't need any rework. Plug and Play. But there are people who still like to use their own housing so I left the how to do in the text. Cheers Chris Edited June 30, 2015 by MadMarx

Ransomes256
I will be taking my gearbox out for a clutch replacement and have considered this seal modification to cure a crank leak. None of the info read confirms or denies if the conversion can be done with the engine installed only with a complete rebuild which I do not need to do. TR shop are unable to advise. Has anybody done the conversion without an engine rebuild? Thanks Neil
