Mr Soul Posted May 29, 2015 Report Share Posted May 29, 2015 Hi all. I am posting for my father, he is nearly at the MOT stage of his rebuild of a TR6. What's holding him up, is the electrics, the loom has been replaced, original switches used. The indicators, and all lights work, the wipers will not come on, motor tested and ok. The dash lights will not come on, and most confusing an earth wire on the dash, speedo/rev counter lights, and wiper motor are 12v live. Can anyone in the North Kent area help as he has tried everything he knows and getting nowhere Thanks for any help, Dean Quote Link to post Share on other sites

ctc77965o Posted May 30, 2015 Report Share Posted May 30, 2015 Dean, if you see 12V on the earth wire and all the devices on that wire are switched off then you have a faulty switch or a wiring fault. Of course a floating earth will have 12v if the devices are switched on, but in that case the devices should spring to life when you touch this earth wire to earth/body.
