Clutch slave cynder installation

Recommended Posts

Everything came apart OK but the pushrod now sticks out too far and I can't install the slave cylinder. There's about an inch gap between the mating faces.

I can move the pushrod back and forth but there isn't a lot of travel and when I push it into the cluch housing it appears to jam. So that's where I think the problem is. The push rod is free to move in the clip but it doesn't feel as if it's fully engaged on the clutch arm. I can't move the clip and have no idea if it's supposed to move.

Any suggestions would be most welcome.
