RogerH
Forged !! I thought they were cast. I would be careful there. It has not got cross drilled big end journals - it could be a very very early crank (1950's) or very possibly a Fergie TRactor crank. £200 is dear and hasn't got there yet. Alec Pringle
And it's Racetorations selling it . . . . . . . Cheers Alec
graeme
It doesn't have a scroll for the rear seal!! Has it been machined for the Landrover type seal or is the tractor version different? Cheers Graeme
stuart
Tractor version doesnt have scroll as they use a lip seal. Stuart.
RogerH
It is described as new old stock (NOS); did the TR2 have a lip seal rather than a scroll. I believe the early ones did have the non-cross drilled big ends. So it could be a genuine NOS but that would make it 60 years old. Roger
Guest ntc
It is what it say's in the add.

Ade-TR4
What's the point in having 6-cylinders if only (approximately) 4 of them ever work? Ade

snowric
They named them TR5s for a reason.....trust me I know.
Dick
Looks like Vanguard or Triumph 1800 to me......they had a split lip seal and the same pilot bearing as a TR. The tractor pilot was a ball race and the counterbore in the end of the crank was much bigger to accomodate it....Also the tractor first motion shaft had a larger pilot diameter to suit the ball race. Alec Pringle
With 6 bolt holes crank to flywheel ? Cheers Alec
RogerH
Hi Alec, that could be four flywheel bolts and a spigot hole (or two) The spacing looks more like a four fastener. Roger
