Forged !! I thought they were cast.

 

I would be careful there.

It has not got cross drilled big end journals - it could be a very very early crank (1950's) or very possibly a Fergie TRactor crank.

£200 is dear and hasn't got there yet.

It doesn't have a scroll for the rear seal!!

 

Has it been machined for the Landrover type seal or is the tractor version different?

It is described as new old stock (NOS); did the TR2 have a lip seal rather than a scroll.

I believe the early ones did have the non-cross drilled big ends.

 

So it could be a genuine NOS but that would make it 60 years old.

Looks like Vanguard or Triumph 1800 to me......they had a split lip seal and the same pilot bearing as a TR. The tractor pilot was a ball race and the counterbore in the end of the crank was much bigger to accomodate it....Also the tractor first motion shaft had a larger pilot diameter to suit the ball race.
