Andrew Smith
The 80 year old owner of this TR4A bought it brand new in 1967 - he has every invoice and MOT from new, including the original bill of sale and service books etc. He had the exhaust fitted because he said it looked fast and sounded load!! He was such a interesting gentlemen too! Unfortunately, his 75 year old brother painted the wire wheels! stillp
Gorgeous, thanks! Not sure it's a good thing to have the key number on the web though. Are those original runs in the paint on pic 19?
Tom Fremont
Nicest dash I've seen in one of these since the early '70s! Best interior of all the TRs, arguably though I'm getting fonder of the metal dash predecessor by the day... Paint runs and the painted bonnet release latch suggest a repaint to me. stillp
Something wrong with the front of the n/s rear wing (pic 17) too. Splitting hairs though.

No Tom, never been painted - I asked the question, but I think you'll find the catch was painted on TR4/4As. As for the paint runs, there are more under the bonnet - have you ever seen an early TR's original paintwork, it would make you cry! Guest ntc
Andrew The car in front says the time the pics was taken, the wheels must have been painted last week

However, I believe they were done in the last year by his 75 year old brother - the photos were taken today. Cheers Andrew
sadman
Mine's low mileage as well, (11,038 & 2nd owner) not been resprayed & bonnet release catch is painted. Paint runs in engine bay, in certain places, more like Victoria Falls! Doug
