TRnorm Posted April 19, 2015 Author Report Share Posted April 19, 2015 For the benefit of those in the future who may be researching a similar problem, I should mention that the new propshaft was free of any discernible play in the splines and did further smooth the driving experience. So pleased I didn't leave it at just reversing the shaft, albeit that that did remove 90% of the vibration. What I'm left with now is what I feel is just the inherent lack of smoothness in the engine (compared to my modern MX5 for example).
