ronhatch
Hi all, the carb bell crank is worn on my car which results in too much movement in the system, I see that they are no longer available so does anybody have a repair. The wear is on the male to female pivot. Regards Ron
peejay4A
HS6 ones still appear on the Moss website. I didn't look for H6 (presumably the same) or Stromberg (definitely different). http://www.moss-europe.co.uk/bellcrank-8c8355.html?assoc=117632
Fireman049
Hi Ron ~ Are you not able to repair it yourself? I'm not sure the type of wear you've got so is it not possible to weld it and reform? Can't it be re-bushed? £18 is one hell of a price to have to pay! Tom.
ronhatch
Hi Tom, My first thoughts were to build up with weld and then grind down to suit but I was hoping for an ingenius solution that maybe involved washing up bottles and double sided tape , but it looks as though the welder is back in use. stuart
They are easy enough to repair using a new piece of steel tube. I often go up one size on the pivot pin and bore out the tube to suit. Stuart.

Fireman049
Hi Ron ~ I'm afraid that you've been watching too much of "Blue Peter" ~ (plastic bottles and double sided tape!!!). ???? ???? ???? Glad you're able to repair it. Cheers ~ Tom. Edited February 6, 2015 by Fireman049
