Revingtons police TR is 4100 HJ which belonged to Southend police. Cheers Graeme Edited January 30, 2015 by graeme

JJC
I remember the hardtop car. I have a photo somewhere of a chum standing in front of it at a rag day procession. 1964 or 5 at a guess. JJC

Lebro
TR's were not the only cars of interest to be used by the police. Even the lowly Aero Minx was used in number of locations http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/classic-car-images/hillman/aero-minx.jpg http://www.oldclassiccar.co.uk/classic-car-images/hillman/police-car.jpg Bob (Aero MInx Owner) ! ianc
When I was living not far from Hampton Court in the1960s, I recall more than once seeing a police patrol in a Daimler SP250 (we called them Daimler Darts back then). With a top speed of about 125 mph, not much could outrun them, although the Daimler Majestic, with its V8 of more than 4 litres, would have posed a problem! Those Daimlers had wonderful V8 engines. John Bracher
I like the picture of the 'unexploded constable' Made me think of "the police have found a large hole in the road".........
TR4A1965
On my site there is a bit on the Police TR4/4A. http://tr4a.weebly.com/triumph-tr4a-advertising.html It is midway down the page after the racing Sebring materials. There is a copy of the advanced driving manual featuring the Tr4 on the cover:-) Best. Paul.
harrytr5
I remember a Daimler Dart in white with a black hardtop chasing around kingsbury NW9 when I was a teenager. Also Wolseys with a bell on the front. Could not catch me on my Triumph motorbike though.( not including the Dart of course). Noddy bikes, Speed twins, bobbies on the beat who knew who you were and were you lived.Cuff around the ear. Those were the days Sigh! Regards Harry
BlueTR3A-5EKT
Edwin. Intersting to see the Rostyle dustbin lids on a TR5. The police spec 2.5PI had them replaced with regular chrome hub caps (see OE parts book) - Apparently to either Stop the rostyle cap rotating under severe braking and cutting the valve stem. or Save the police budget in replacing them when they got lost.
