SamNewey28
Hi all, My Dad is currently redoing the body work on his TR4A and we both agree the original paint colour isn't the one we want the final colour to be. We want that classic deep green that you see but we want it to be an original Triumph color. Does anyone have a list of the colours that could be chosen for a 65/66 TR4A or if there isn't a specified list just any colour code that is widely used on the triumph range? Thanks, Sam
Mark69
Hi Sam Sorry not sure what colour greens the 4's were given but if you look on the home page under cars the 6 range shows 5 greens . Laurel green does it for me. Mark.

Nigel Triumph
The correct dark green for a 4A is Triumph Conifer code 25. Nigel
Nigel Triumph
I should have mentioned that there's a restoration story on a TR4A in Conifer in the latest issue of Practical Classics. It's the main cover shot so you can't miss it and it will give a good idea of what a 4A looks like in Triumph's version of BRG. Nigel

graeme
https://www.flickr.com/gp/90670218@N04/vw3413/ Alan, I think those colours are TR2/3 colours. Graeme
stillp
https://www.flickr.com/gp/90670218@N04/vw3413/ Why didn't they spell "grey" correctly?
MikeF
I suggest what ever shade of green you go for to then find a match in a modern colour and use that. For example Mazda have a number of greens very like ours and within the shade variations that Triumph had back then anyway. Peugeot Conifer is very like Triumph Racing Green and so on. Using a named modern colour will greatly simplify later repairs and touch ups. For example you could just pop along to Halfords etc. and buy a rattler for small jobs instead of having to have a special mix made to match whatever you got mixed up. Mike.
