Lord Flashart
Gentlemen, Checking over the cooling system on the TR4 tonight. On stripping the water pump, I noticed that the clearance between the impeller and the pump housing is surprisingly large. Without a gasket fitted the gap is around 2mm (80 thou). Is this correct? If not, is there a way of correcting it? It doesn't look like be the impeller would be particularly easy to move and I could have the housing milled but probably can't remove too much material as the housing is not very thick. Any opinions Paul
Trumpy3
Paul, Not many answers on this. All the water pumps I have striped are the same. The TR pump is not that sophisticated and 2mm sounds about it. Brian
