Dynamator Alternator conversion

Recommended Posts

Ahh yes the quality may have suffered in my cheap purchase only time will tell, but I could buy 3 of these for the cost of the expensive version. I have already done 300 miles and so far...............so good :)

Hi,

I'm new to the forum as I'm assisting a mate change his knackered TR4 dynamo to a dynamator. The earth is still positive and I have ordered and received a dynamator that is wired for positive earth. Along with it I have received a relay with the instruction that 'positive earth dynamators must have the ignition warning lamp wired through the supplied relay'. The control box is the RB106 type and I like the idea above that this is used as a terminal junction with room for a fuse. Has anyone 'dynamatored' a positive earth TR4 that can give me any directions on how to rewire and where to best fit this relay & fuse?

Cheers,

Saffa
