This guy has tried this before on EBay and had hilx items removed. It's been discussed in the Tr6 section of this Forum.

He seems to be selling military vehicles as we'll now. I quite fancy the Alvis so I'll maybe contact him-yeah right. I 'll just pull up the zip on the back of my head.

Cheers

The thing I don't understand is why he doesnt price the car just a little under a par price - that way he might get more people lured to thinking it is real as opposed to it obviously being a bargain

Yep it's him again, The user ID has changed but still zero feedback. .

The price for the TR5 has dropped by £1000. He's also selling diggers, camper vans and a 1970 E-Type for £7,200! Is this part of the Black Friday frenzy?

I've reported this to Ebay so the ads should disappear shortly.

How many more times before he(or she) gets tired and moves on.

They don't appear to be that bright, surely pricing the items keenly rather than giving them away would increase their chances?

Cheers

I suppose what all this goes to show is that scammers know that if you try a scam for long enough, someone somewhere will be suckered. Of course, it's not just on Ebay that you can get taken. I've looked at many cars over the years with a view to buying, and there have been a few occasions where I've felt that there's a scam in the offing. Alarm bells always ring with me when the seller says that they are "selling it on behalf of a friend" (as this Ebay ad states). If I'm buying privately, I'd always want to talk with the seller face to face. Like someone else said on the forum, you have to buy the seller before you buy the item.
