Geko
Ola, I'm about to replace the ammeter with a voltmeter gauge. Smith voltmeter are available online but the price ranges from 30£ to 100£ for the same item so I'm not sure which one to go for. Some pointers please. Thanks, as always
Don H.
There was a long thread on this subject a couple of years ago -- including comments about candidate gauges from various donor cars over the years. Worth a search to look for it, I'd guess.
stuart
Reliant Scimitar is one good donor, The type without the battery on the face is less obtrusive especially if you re-use your ammeter bezel. One like this http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Smiths-Classic-Voltmeter-Electrical-Gauge-Race-Rally-Motorsport-/301071198354?pt=UK_Car_Parts_Vehicles_Automobila_ET&var=&hash=item46193de892 Stuart. Guest
Stuart pointed me into that direction years ago. The TR3A has gauges with long needles and I specifically wanted a similar one. And found one on eBay. Vaguely visible on this pic. All I had to do was swapping the glass for a domed version. Menno
