ronhatch
Hi all, I need the the correct location for the wiring loom, are there any diagrams or photos ? Regards Ron
Geko
In your case, diagram 5 or 6. There seems to be some confusions in the Moss catalogue for the 4A (7), not sure if the same apply to the 4s
TR 2100
Ron, What vintage is your TR4? I know the routing of the loom changed during the TR4/4A series - don't know exactly when. I do have some photos of an April 1962 TR4. AlanR
ronhatch
Thanks for the quick replies, my car is 1962. Regards Ron
TRnorm
This had me confused as well. Mine is a 1962 TR4 and certainly the loom passes front to rear on the drivers side. The loom retaining Tags are clearly welded above the OS rear wheel arch, and the loom I purchase from Autosparks certainly only fits that way. Regards Norman
tthomson
My TR4A has a driver side loom that I bought from Autosparks approx 10 years ago. It has some extra functionality, but fitted fine. I notice that the retaining tags were on both sides of the body, so in theory, I could have put the loom either side of the car, but for my RH drive 1967 model it only fits down the driver's side. The determining factor is the column connections and central instrument wiring bundle. TT Edited October 31, 2014 by tthomson
