dwaters
A question on the short rear stainless steel wing beading on a 3A.....does the flattened/crushed section of the s/s beading get clamped under the rear light assembly or is it positioned the other way round with the flattened section under the base of the wing? Many thanks
vivdownunder
Start with the rounded end level with the bottom of the bodywork. The flat end allows adjustment and sits beneath the tailight-to-body rubber gasket. Viv

Don Elliott
When I bought my TR3A brand new in 1958, the flattened end was at the bottom with a tiny slot-head screw through a hole in the flat bit so the flat bit could be secured upwards to the bottom flange on the bottom of the wing. The round end was at the top and it's still that way.
dwaters
That's a beautiful TR3A Don and the beading does look very neat installed that way round. I will try fitting the beading both ways and see which works best on my panels. Thanks David
Lebro
FWIW - Mine is like Don's - flat part underneath. I don't know if that is correct, but at the time it seemed logical. It looks fine by the way. Bob.
