Yep .... Bag of small parts in the casing. And a serious sense of humour failure for me as we were flying and Beastie was on song.

I should think that a high speed spin in the welsh lanes on Friday night (after a 'not as map' 90 left) after which we broadsided for about 100 feet in a shower of turf, tyre smoke and brown trousers probably gave the diff a heavy scare. We were cool with it of course .... :--)

Great result for Team Triumph though, and also hats off also to Jonathan Hancox and Richard Lambley for a well measured, rapid and pretty much faultless 4th overall and class win, Graham for bringing his red 4 home well up there and 2nd I/C and Mike and Lorna Harrison for the 3rd I/C in their TR3a, even after a little mod to the front in the lanes.

The other TRs were also very quick and reliable and it was great to see VRW221 out competing on what the FIA observer said was one if the most competitive non special stage event he had ever attended, with some of the most talented crews in historic rallying. And I don't think he was talking about the 911's and Escorts, which frankly we had nailed between us on most of the tests.

Great event, but the 13th ROTT wasn't so lucky for Rob and I. Next up the 20th LEJog .... Happy days.

Regards

Tony

100 feet of tyre smoke and turf shower ?

That sounds like broadsiding along the edge of the tarmac, digging into the turf on chunky rubber, that's enough shock loading to beat hell out of even a good TR diff, it's not an Atlas axle !

Cheers

Alec

Then it should be ;):D:D

Thanks for the up-date!

Triumph equipe's did it well!

With the pic's from Rastelli and the Test Titbits we can follow the event on this side of the sea.

Looking forward to the LeJog 2014.

@ Tony success by preparing Beastie
