MRG1965
HI, just a little help for anybody that may need/like/want it. I've been rebuilding the doors on my TR4. Just started as looking at a wonky N/S drop glass and £250 later the only parts inside the doors that have not been replaced are the door handles, some stones need to be left unturned. Attached is picture of the L shaped drop glass stop bracket that were originally missing from my doors and I was confused how to adjust the maximum lift on the drop glass to stop it catching on the chrome trim at the top of the windscreen, as I had exhausted all the other adjustment options. This bracket rest against the roller on the regulator and runs inside the channel in the middle of the door. These parts seem to be very hard to get, so if anybody wants to make one, if you can't get one, here are the dimensions. Many thanks to RogerH for helping to identify what was missing and explaining how it works and to Ray Gill (and Helen) for sourcing the parts. Mark
stuart
Well done Mark, I have been making them up for years as they seem to be missing on so many cars, the only critical bit is the length of the kick up on the end of the tab, too long and it will foul the arm of the mechanism. Roger Hi yes I thought others may be having the same issues as me, and if I can share a bit of info, can only assist others. But I could only do that thanks to your assistance.
