boxofbits
I recall a TR5 owner a few weeks back looking for a TR5 grille. Here is an NOS example on Ebay and not cheap! Whoever buys it there'll be no Friday nights down the local for you for a few months! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/NOS-Triumph-TR5-Grille-/261587090176?pt=UK_CarsParts_Vehicles_CarParts_SM&hash=item3ce7ce3b00 Edited October 5, 2014 by boxofbits
Graze
At that price it'd be worth buying a whole car and parting it out Graze

Red 6
I think it is cheap. As the advert says where else are you going to buy a new one, ie a stanpart one which fits. Considering the asking prices of restored cars £1200 is loose change.
AlanT
The last two ordinary 4A NOS ones made best part of £700 each on ebay. Edited October 5, 2014 by AlanT
Red 6
I see the price has dropped to £1k, but I did not know 4a grilles were fetching those prices. I have 1 remaining 4a grille so I will try it on ebay. Sirmatt used to post on here, I wonder if he still does, nice chap met him once.
saggy
That's funny... there's ANOTHER TR5 grille just been posted on ebay! Looks every bit as good for £300 though and it includes the the indicators!
AlanT
Well they fetch high prices when more than one person wants it at the same time. The 4A ones were abolutely mint. The 5 grille on ebay at present isn't.
peter.goreham
Hi, Isn't the '£300 start' one actually a 4A grille? Peter
Tom Fremont
Hi, Isn't the '£300 start' one actually a 4A grille? Peter Negatory - no semi-circular slot in the bottom bar as the 4A grille has.
AlanT
Odd that the 5 grille still has a "half-moon" where the handle went. Experiece shows that this central rib area is prone to fracture. Actually the whole thing is prone to fracture because some of the ribs are all really narrow.
